Food preservation is the maintenance of safe and nutritious food for an extended period. By using processes of treating and handling food to stop or slow down food spoilage, loss of quality, edibility or nutritional value allows for longer food storage. Come and learn the top ways to preserve your produce.
This discussion will cover the top six methods of food preservation used to extend the shelf-life of produce and meat. A nod is also given to four methods that are used, but not frequently.
