Green Thumb 2024 – Gardening Choices Helpful to Wintering Birds

Not all our fine feathered friends on the Olympic Peninsula wing away to warmer climes. Many of the birds we see and love in our gardens stick around all year and need a food supply to get them through the winter. Join Environmental Scientist, Katja Bridwell, for the Green Thumb Education Series presentation, “Gardening Choices Helpful to Wintering Birds,” and find out what to plant in your garden to help feed birds when their options are limited.

The Green Thumb Education Series, sponsored by the Washington State University Clallam County Master Gardeners, is held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month through October. In November, December, and January, one lecture is offered. Scheduled presentations are subject to change.
