Olympic Peninsula Farm to Food Bank Fund

         Fresh Food for Everyone!

Due to our Peninsula’s success in Farm to Food Bank Fund efforts, we needed to create a new, community-based anchor for the funding and here it is.

Since 2014 the peninsula has been delivering contracts to farmers that are repaid in fresh produce to food banks. The format has varied but the outcome has been the same, a win-win for all.

Building economic growth and stability for local farmers while
Increasing access to fresh, nutrient-dense foods in our community.

The need for food assistance has swelled, the networks have been built between farms and food banks, now you to contribute to this win-win exchange with our new community-based Olympic Peninsula Farm to Food Bank Fund.

The mission of the Olympic Peninsula Farm to Food Bank Fund is to meet the needs of farmers and community members. Funds will strengthen the economic stability of Olympic Peninsula farms while securing optimal food options for our under-resourced community members.

How it Works:

  • All donations to this fund will be turned directly into contracts for peninsula farmers, the contracts are repaid with fruits, produce, fish, eggs, meats and other nutrient-rich locally produced foods.
  • The farm-produced products are distributed to food banks and food access organizations across Clallam and Jefferson Counties.
  • 100% of the funds to go towards contracts with local producers. WSU Extension staff administers the funds through their outside funding contracts.

Your tax deductible contribution to the Farm to Food Bank Fund supports local agriculture and strengthens community-based food systems, creating stable networks of support here on the peninsula.

*Our annual Farm to Food Bank Fund drive takes place in April, yet we accept donations all year round.
