Shiitake Mushroom Plugging Workshop at Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival

Ever wondered how to grow your own culinary shiitake mushrooms? Come join Master Gardener, Bob Blackett, at 10:30 am on Sunday October 20th at the Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival for a Shiitake Mushroom Plugging Workshop. Bob’s workshop is free and doesn’t require an extra ticket or registration. You will find the workshop inside the Angeles Millwork and Hartnagels Building Supply Education Barn where you can plug your very own shiitake log. After the Festival, make sure to visit the Woodcock Demonstration Garden where a mushroom demo garden showcases a shiitake log display area that fruits very successfully at specific times of the year. The log plugging begins at 11:00am and will go while supplies last.
