Fall is descending on us, and it is harvesting time at Woodcock Demonstration Gardens. This will be the last free “Walkabout “of the season. Make sure to pick up a self-guided tour brochure to help you navigate the gardens alongside the presenters. The highlight this month is our orchard garden full of apples, pears and cherries that do well in our climate. You will also see some surprising new fruits that we are experimenting with. There has been a lot happening in the orchard with expansion of new structures and more fruit. Our Master Gardeners will guide you through the orchard and answer all your questions. Woodcock has over 22 themed gardens and they will all be on display for viewing. The Dahlias are magnificent and bursting with color. The vegetable gardens supply the Food Bank of Sequim. Master Gardeners will be working throughout the gardens and will be happy to answer your questions.
The Woodcock Demonstration Garden is a beautiful 2.74-acre site that has been in operation for over 35 yrs. and is open to the public for educational learning.
