MASTER GARDENER PROGRAM — Workshops & Events
Explore the stunning agricultural beauty of the Willamette Valley and leave the driving to us!
Ready to explore the stunning agricultural beauty of the Willamette Valley without the stress of driving? Leave the keys behind and let us handle the road! We will meet at the Heritage Farm Parking lot and set out on a curated day-trip celebrating summer’s finest rural and agricultural gems in the NE Salem area.
Our first stop of the morning will be at Terra Gardens, a massive, full-service garden center. Whether you are an indoor plant enthusiast or a backyard landscaping pro, Terra Gardens has it all. We will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look as the owner shares his personal journey and the inspiration behind this incredible nursery.
Next, we visit Sebright Gardens. Step into a shade lover’s paradise. We will learn all about the plants that thrive away from the harsh sun. Explore their breathtaking, mature selection of hostas, delicate ferns, and other shade-tolerant varieties.
Lunch Break: Route 99 Restaurant (On Your Own)
Recharge at a local favorite! Route 99 is a casual, family-friendly eatery known for its mouthwatering smoked BBQ meats, classic American comfort food, fresh seafood dishes, and hearty breakfast staples.
Our last stop will be EZ Orchards Farm Market. We will wrap up our day at a bustling, working market and bakery that perfectly captures the bounty of the Willamette Valley. Browse seasonal fresh local produce, vibrant flowers, and fresh-baked goods. You will have the opportunity to purchase a legendary shortbread dessert topped with fresh, local fruit and rich ice cream!
Connect with fellow garden lovers and learn directly from local growers and experts. Celebrate the unique farms, markets, and hardworking farmers that make the Pacific Northwest so delicious and beautiful.
