The following information is required when purchasing an item that requires an asset inventory tag. In the line item description (or in the attachment section) of the purchase include the following:
- Unit/department assignment (ANR/MG/CED/Y&F/etc.)
- Who is the end user of this asset?
- What is the WSU location this item should be assigned to?
- What is the serial number of this asset?
- Who is the manufacturer of this asset?
Spend Category
When purchasing new assets please be sure to use a spend category that will generate an asset tag. Some examples include:
- SC00257 Capitalized Passenger Motor Vehicles: Passenger motor vehicles that exceed $5,000
- SC00258 Capitalized Agricultural Equipment: Agricultural Equipment that exceeds $5,000
- SC00261 Capitalized Grounds Machinery and Equipment: Grounds machinery and equipment that exceed $5,000
- SC00254 Trackable Laptops, Tablets, Notebooks: Purchase for all laptops, tablets, and other small personal computing devices no matter the cost
- SC00403 Trackable Drones: for drone purchases
- SC00249 Trackable Passenger Motor Vehicles: Passenger motor vehicles that have a useful life in excess of one year but do not cost more than $5,000
- SC00253 Trackable Other Motor Vehicles: Other motor vehicles that have a useful life in excess of one year but do not cost more than $5,000.
- SC00251 Trackable Boats (value less than $5,000)
- SC00255 Trackable Firearms (value less than $5,000)
