WSU Master Gardener Jerry Winchell will explain how to construct a simple and inexpensive sprinkler system that can be used for your vegetable garden, hanging baskets, porch plants and for other situations. Find out how to develop a sprinkler system that allows you the flexibility to reduce water use, save time, use less labor and control weeds.
12:00 p.m. Companion Planting
WSU Master Gardener Helen Redmond will teach the benefits of growing certain plants alongside each other that promotes their growth habits, suppresses weeds, encourages pest-repelling.
1:00 p.m. Using Bio-Solids in your Garden
Duane Leaf and Debbie Stanley from Three Rivers Regional Wastewater Authority will explaining what Class A bio-solids are, the processes that renders them safe and useful, and how to use them in your garden. It is a slow-acting fertilizer that gradually releases nutrients into the soil for growing vegetables, perennials and trees. Learn how to secure this free fertilizer.
