9:30 a.m.   Growing Vegetables, where to start!

WSU Master Gardener Billie Bevers will discuss what to do in your vegetable garden to plan and prepare it for planting.  You will learn when to plant, how to start get an early start and what to takes to maintain healthy plants to get a great harvest.

 

11:00 a.m. Landscaping Tips

WSU Master Gardener Wendy Santiago will lead you through common mistakes made by the novice landscaper.  She will show you how to bring texture, form, shape, functionality, balance and color into your landscape.  Learn creative design techniques and what to consider when selecting plants.

 

12:00 p.m.   Tips to control moles

Sadly, all too many property owners know the frustration of having that vision of a beautiful lawn ruined by moles.  WSU Master Gardener Bryan Iverson will talk about which techniques are the most effective in getting rid of moles.   Bryan will discuss what works and what products fail to get results

Bring your questions to WSU Master Gardener Billie Bevers about these most important pollinators, mason bees, while you learn to make the straws they use to lay their eggs. This brief demo/talk will save you money on nesting material and answer your questions about mason bees.

The trick to supporting pollinators is to offer them a continuous buffet of blooms from early spring to late fall. WSU Master Gardener Roxanne Nakamura will share some ideas for using native plants in your landscape to create a beautiful pollinator haven.

Are you just itching to see something green growing before you can actually get your garden planted outside? Learn how to add color, texture, and interesting flavors to meals using microgreens! Master Gardener Trisha Bonapace will show how to safely and easily grow and microgreens indoors at home.
