Celebration of Pollinators

About the Event

Pierce County Master Gardeners, in collaboration with the City of Puyallup, invite you – our neighbors, visitors, supporters and the just plain curious – to our free, family-friendly open house from 10am-2pm on Saturday, June 15. (Children’s activities begin at 11:30am after opening remarks).

We are honored to open our doors to the community as we host our inaugural A Celebration of Pollinators event, which helps kick off National Pollinator Week. As Master Gardeners, we’re committed to sharing environmental stewardship education as part of our mission with a priority focus on the health of pollinators. Our commitment made teaming up with Puyallup, a Bee City since 2016 and the second of only five bee cities in Washington, a natural choice. Mayor Kastama, and other community representatives, will join us as we dedicate our new pollinator educational station at 11am.

Rain or shine, it’ll be a fun-filled, pollinator-centered day. We’ll offer prizes, children’s activities, chances to get your hands dirty – if you choose – during the Compost 101 presentation and so much more. We hope to see you there.
