The Washington State 4-H Youth Development Program includes 125 projects in eight major subject divisions, including
- Animal Sciences
- Expressive Arts
- Family Living
- Mechanical Sciences
- Environmental Stewardship
- Plant Sciences
- Social Sciences
- Interdisciplinary
This adds up to a wide variety of options, from cows to clowns to computers! Plus, we’re always developing new ideas. All of this is only the beginning: If you’ve got an idea for a project that’s not on the list, we can help you turn it into a “self-determined” 4-H project!
As you choose your 4-H projects, please keep in mind that they should be enjoyable, meaningful, challenging, and suitable to your budget. And always remember: safety first!
