4-H Projects & Programs

In 4-H, young people take their curiosities and passions and turn them into action through participation in a 4-H project. Want to be a “shutterbug” and take eye-catching photos? Interested in learning to shoot a bow and arrow? Or, maybe robotics or livestock would be more to your liking. There are a wide variety of 4-H projects currently underway in the Clark County 4-H Youth Development Program.

The Washington State 4-H Youth Development Program includes 125 projects in eight major subject divisions, including
  • Animal Sciences
  • Expressive Arts
  • Family Living
  • Mechanical Sciences
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Plant Sciences
  • Social Sciences
  • Interdisciplinary

This adds up to a wide variety of options, from cows to clowns to computers! Plus, we’re always developing new ideas. All of this is only the beginning: If you’ve got an idea for a project that’s not on the list, we can help you turn it into a “self-determined” 4-H project!

As you choose your 4-H projects, please keep in mind that they should be enjoyable, meaningful, challenging, and suitable to your budget. And always remember: safety first!
