REBUILD: Resilient Efforts for Building, Upcycling, Innovation and Landfill Diversion

Transforming Waste into Community Treasure

Our program focuses on repurposing discarded items through recycling, repair, upcycling, and redistribution to other organizations in our community that need and can use these resources. Join us in our mission to empower nonprofits and businesses to conserve resources and build a stronger, more resilient community together.

Welcome to REBUILD!

Our Vision:
To create a community where waste is transformed into opportunity, where every discarded item has the potential to become a valuable resource, and where collaboration and innovation thrive to build a more sustainable future for all.

What We Do:

  • Skilled Volunteers: Our Community Resiliency Stewards work tirelessly to upgrade trash into treasure.
  • Collaboration: We partner with nonprofits and other community organizations  serving underserved populations to maximize impact.
  • Waste Reduction: By diverting items from landfills, we conserve natural resources and mitigate pollution.
  • Community Building: Volunteers share skills, fostering resilience and connectivity within our community.

Why It Matters:

  • Preserves Ecosystems: Protects biodiversity, clean air, and water sources crucial for human health.
  • Supports Sustainable Development: Ensures resources for future generations and prevents resource depletion.
  • Reduces Pollution: Minimizes environmental damage from resource extraction, production, and disposal.
  • Mitigates Climate Change: Lowers greenhouse gas emissions by reducing energy consumption and deforestation.
  • Fosters Resilience: Helps communities adapt to environmental challenges, promoting long-term well-being.

How You Can Help:

Our Mission:
As a Community Steward, we will place you in a volunteer opportunity that aligns with your skill set, interest level and passion for service to our community. Volunteers may serve in various roles, such as:

Recycling: help break down and separate materials for recycling, such as metal, cardboard, film plastics, etc and/or transfer materials within our community for recycling.

Admin: Help us research funding opportunities, complete data entry, etc.

Repair: Give broken items a second chance by repairing small items, cleaning, tuning, etc.

There are many ways to help the REBUILD program. All skill sets and volunteers are welcome. We will do our best to find a great fit for you to serve our community.
