1st Saturday Workshop – Fall and Winter Crops
May 2, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
free1st Saturday Workshop with the Master GardenersFall and Winter Crops
Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 AM to Noon at the WSU Extension Grays Harbor County office.
FALL & WINTER GARDENING, like all gardening, can be a mixed bag of successful and not-so-successful ventures. With a little planning and some tips on crop selection and dealing with the weather, we hope you will give fall/winter gardening a try. There is nothing like eating produce from your own garden. And some crops just get sweeter as the cold weather sets in. Join us for a little fun while we explore how to extend our vegetable growing season.
After the workshop, visit the PLANT CLINIC from noon to 2 PM, at the same location, to get your questions about plant problems, insects and other gardening topics answered. Carol Burich and team will be there to research any questions you might have. If you do have a plant question, please bring a sample of that plant with you, preferably in a sealed plastic bag.
A few more lovely dahlia tubers will be available for sale at the workshop, for those who were unable to purchase tubers at the last workshop.
