Will you know when you have arrived? Strategic planning is all about aligning your people, partnerships, and resources around a plan to achieve your mission. Ties to the Land- Succession Planning for the Family Forest Owners, Dec 14, Spokane

Your land will outlive you. Who will care for it when you’re gone? Will it be a family legacy or a family squabble? Will it be kept intact and protected, or will it be divided up and sold off in pieces? Will it become a source of conflict between surviving family members? What is the long-term future that you want for your property? Ties to the Land is an award-winning curriculum developed by leading estate planning experts at Oregon State University Extension and the Austin Family Business Program. Working as a family, you will learn about legal, economic, and, most importantly, relational aspects of transferring forests and farms from one generation to the next. This workshop is a mix of DVD-based presentations and practical exercises to help your family develop techniques to address tough issues. Details pending.
