Cultivating Success – Sustainable Small Farms Education

BEGINNING SMALL FARMING AND RANCHING – Build your whole ag operation plan
Have you always wanted to get into farming or ranching? Are you already in farming but want how to start a farm the right way? Join us for a 12-week course that will introduce all the things you need to know. Crop and animal production, pasture management, pest and weed management, farm insurance, marketing your production, farm record keeping, soil management and planning your farm. Learn from WSU Extension staff and faculty and local farmers who are already doing what you want to do. There will be two Saturday field trips to farms in the Spokane/Stevens County area.
Web technology will be used to simulcast between two locations. In class speakers and facilitators will be in person at each location.

Tuition:
$125/person. VETERANS/Active Duty; $50/person*.
*Reduced tuition for honorably discharged US veterans and active duty.
