About the Aging Mastery ®️ Book Club

The Aging Mastery ®️ Book Club helps individuals create their own playbook for aging well via actionable goals, sustainable behaviors, peer support, and incentives.  The program encourages mastery—developing behaviors across many dimensions that will lead to improved health, stronger financial security, and overall well-being.  People get a chance to meet new friends, provide support and encouragement to their peers, and become more involved in their community.

Meet Susan Lassman, Aging Mastery® Leader for WSU Extension Clark County

“This program is very exciting because it informs people about many areas of their lives that they could improve to help them live more fully and functionally.  It is never too late to learn new things and change habits.”

I have worked in many areas over the years.  I retired from DSHS in Washington 12 years ago where I was then working for Home & Community Services.  I was a Social Worker and worked with seniors & disabled folks on Medicaid.  I have also worked in the nutrition field in the past as well, with all age groups.

I enjoy helping others in whatever area they may need assistance.  I have had many volunteer positions over the years including, Meals on Wheels, Hospice, and the Humane Society to name a few.  I have helped friends when they were moving to downsize and sell some of their items.  I try to supply people with resources to contact as well.

I like to sew, read, watch informative programs on TV, work on home projects and spend time with family and friends.
