Kitsap County Junior Livestock Auction (Market Committee)

December 1st Market goats born on or after date.
January 1st Steer exhibitors must have their steers in their possession, date TBD for tagging of steers.
1st Lambs born on or after date.
February 1st Pigs born on or after date.Geese possession date, 12lb minimum, 4-6 months old at sale date.
May 1st Ownership and Possession of rabbit production doe(s). Must have ear tattoo, breed information and or pedigree.

  • Rabbit meat pen of three (3) and one (1) fryers less than 10 weeks old by auction date 3lb minimum/5lb max.
  • Single roaster rabbit not more than 6 months in age, 5lb minimum/8lb max.
  • Broiler chicken 6lb minimum, not more than 12 weeks old.
  • Turkey 20lb minimum tom and 13lb minimum hen, no older than 16-18 weeks at auction date.
2nd Geese possession date, 12lb minimum, 4-6 months old at sale date
 8th Ice Cream Social (Mandatory for all participants)
  Registration begins at 6:30p
  15th All market livestock must be in possession of the exhibitor and reported to the WSU (4-H) extension office or the FFA Chapter Advisor
June 3rd Tagging of the swine, lambs and goats (Swine Barn – Fairgrounds)
  12th Market Committee Meeting 7p (Eagles Nest @ Fairgrounds)
  21st Ducks and Broiler Chickens possession date
 July 10th Market Meeting 7p.m. (FFA Office @ Fairgrounds)
  15th Livestock entries due.  4-H submit to 4-H office, FFA submit to FFA advisors, Open Class submit to Fair Office
August 5th Fairgrounds Super Saturday
  14th Market Meeting 7p (FFA Office @ Fairgrounds)
  22nd Haul and weigh in of market animals
  23rd Mandatory Pre-Auction Meeting (4:30 p.m.) for all Market Animal participants and Advisors/Leaders @ Swine Barn Show Arena
  26th  Kitsap County 4-H and FFA Junior Livestock Auction @ 11 a.m.
   27th Annual meeting and election of officers (FFA Office on Fairgrounds at 1 p.m.
