JulieJulie Evenson, Program Coordinator: Julie started as a part-time SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator in 2007.  In 2012 she transitioned into the SNAP-Ed Program Coordinator role for Kitsap.  This program works with students and families, providing them with practical, hands-on activities and resources that focus on how to shop, prepare, store and serve nutritious meals with limited resources.  Classes and activities are held in local schools, food banks and other community venues.  The thing she loves most about her job is working with various community partners in providing nutrition education and improving access to healthy food for Kitsap residences.   When Julie is not at work she enjoys being active, coaching, leading Young Life and spending time with her husband and two children.

Dawn-Marie

 

Dawn-Marie Duarte, Nutrition Educator: Dawn-Marie is a part-time Kitsap County Nutrition Educator and has been with SNAP-Ed since 2013.  She currently provides nutrition education services in local schools, food banks and other community venues.  The thing Dawn-Marie loves most about her job is sharing an excitement for nutritious choices and physical activity.  When Dawn-Marie is not at work she enjoys horseback riding, competing in triathlons and spending time with her husband and four children.
