Container gardening is the ultimate problem solver. If you have soil problems or small spaces, you can become a container garden farmer. This tour will help you learn to create a container water garden, grow vegetables in pots, and how to turn your patio or deck into a colorful garden oasis.

TOUR BEGINS/ENDS: Van transportation from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 9319 NE Hwy 99, Hazel Dell

First stop is Hughes Water Gardens, Oregon’s Premier Water Garden Nursery. They specialize in water plants, ponds, and water garden design. We will have a demonstration on water containers.

Next up is Garden Fever, an urban neighborhood nursery with garden art, unusual plants, garden tools, and helpful advice. We will receive instruction on growing veggies in pots.

Last stop: Portland Nursery – a welcoming place to enjoy the colors and scents, and get ideas for your garden. They are experts in container design and will give us a demonstration on how to create a container patio charmer. Bring your wallet; shopping at all three nurseries!
