Five Sprouts Farm Tour

Get valuable ideas for improving your property and see stewardship practices in action! Tour Five Spouts Farm, a property recognized by WSU Clark County Extension for implementing sound stewardship practices and “Doing Their Part for Clean Water”. This is one of the best ways to get ideas for your property and to learn from others’ successes and mistakes!

· Perennial edible landscaping
· Hugelkultur beds and other permaculture designs

Five Sprouts Farm, a farm and homestead focused on sustainability and permaculture practices since 2011, was recognized by WSU Clark County Extension as a model property for stewardship in 2012. The farm is also home to geese and ducks, in addition to growing vegetables and fruit.

Participants will have the opportunity to see practices to manage runoff and keep clean water clean, perennial edible landscaping, native plants for riparian areas, using animals to control pests, hugelkultur beds for water conservation, composting and much more. Come learn about how the landowners achieved recognition as a model property and how best management practices have been implemented to improve their property and protect natural resources, while saving time and money.
