Herbs in the Garden: Water-Wise, Pollinator-Friendly and Tasty, Too!
June 3, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Are you looking to add plants to your landscape that may provide beneficial features for both you and the environment? Fresh, homegrown herbs are easy to grow and an economical way to add a little gourmet to your everyday.
Many popular herb varieties thrive with low water needs and have flowers that are attractive to beneficial insects and pollinators. Join Nicole Forbes of Dennis’ Seven Dees and learn about care and selection of herbs with a focus on drought tolerance and benefit to pollinators as well as inspiring ways to use them in your home and kitchen garden!
Monday, June 3 from 6 to 7:30 PM at Pacific Park — Natural Demonstration Area; NE 18th St & NE 172nd Ave, Vancouver, WA 98684. FREE with 45 minutes of service at the demo garden.
Bring a lawn chair and your work clothes. We’ll do some maintenance in the demo garden after the workshop. This workshop is put on in conjunction with Clark County Public Health – Solid Waste Outreach. For more information: 564-397-5738 or erika.d.johnson@wsu.edu.
