Sauerkraut lovers won’t want to miss this session! This class will teach the secrets for successful quick-pack and fermented pickle making, pickling without salt and how to prepare sauerkraut.
Tired of using all that sugar in your favorite jams and jellies? There are other options for low-sugar spreads with just a few easy alterations and using some sweetening alternatives. This session will also include information on making pie fillings and syrup.
Cultivating Community; a Harvest Celebration Apples, our main subject - stories and coloring for kids, an apple piñata, recipes. Protecting our apple industry with good backyard fruit tree stewardship.
Learn the methods to successfully can meat, fish and wild game. Information on preparing and canning chili, soups and mincemeat pie filling will also be included.
This is the 4th class in a four part series taught by WSU Chelan/Douglas County Master Gardener, Bonnie Orr. Bonnie will provide information on how to start this gardening season off on the right foot.
