4-H Eco-Stewardship and SnowSchool for Winter 2021
COVID RESPONSE ONLINE CAMPS
We are committed to the safety and well-being of our students, as well as their education. To that end, we are offering our programs in a virtual format for the time being. We are offering standards based STEM programming. Online camps are held over the ZOOM platform and activity materials are provided. Camps run each day from 9-11am (2 hour lunch break) and 1-3pm.
Camp A and B
We’ll start the STEM Camp with the most important skill in any profession; Teamwork! We’ll decide as a class how to work best as a team as well as how we act as a class. After that, we transfer to learning about science, and, more importantly, how and why we do science! Participants will practice how to manage your own scientific experiment, manage yourself, and manage your group positively. You will be learning how to conduct experiments of your own, and how to get information from events. The goal of the experiments is to familiarize you with the Scientific Method. I guess you could say you’ll be experimenting with experiments as you build sculptures, rubber band-powered cars, and a kinetic transfer device.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
