2nd Saturday Garden Walk at 5th Street – August 2025

August 9, 2025

Free
Participants listened attentively during July 14th walk as veteran Master Gardener Kendra Waggoner emphasized that even the pesky common garden aphid can help pollinate flowers. As pollinator numbers continue to decline, consider allowing aphids a little time to perform good deeds. Would you, could you, welcome any help you could get with your vegetable and fruit production?

Living in the Pacific Northwest, no matter how gorgeous the surroundings, brings a variety of vegetable and fruit growing challenges. Come discuss tips for successfully combating current gardening difficulties. Walk along with Clallam County Master Gardeners and learn how best to maximize tomato harvests, protect plants from our fluctuating weather and how to continue late plantings for overwintering crops.

Meet at the Fifth Street Community Garden, located at 328 E Fifth Street, Port Angeles. Garden is just off Peabody across from City Hall where there is ample parking for the Saturday event.

The walk is free and open to the public and occur rain or shine from 10 to 11:30 am and will continue through September 13.

On Saturday, August 9th, 2025 from 10:00 -11:30 am, join the Clallam County Master Gardeners for a 2nd Saturday 5th Street Garden Walk.

Join them at the Fifth Street Community Garden in Port Angeles to examine what is happening (or should be happening) in local vegetable gardens.
