School Garden Community Seed Swap
March 26 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join WSU Extension’s Farm to School Team for our inaugural School Garden Seed Swap and Networking Event on March 26 from 4pm-7pm. Come learn about your local Farm to School program while you swap seeds and enjoy an early Spring evening in the beautiful Port Angeles High School Community Garden.
This event is for school garden communities in Clallam and Jefferson Counties: school district teachers, staffers, family members, community organizations, gardeners and more! Bring seeds you’ve saved to plant in school gardens this coming spring. We will also have a seed donation bin for folks to take home extra seeds. Swing by the sign making station to upgrade your garden signage, and chat with fellow school and home gardeners about the upcoming season.
For seed swappers: Make sure your seeds are properly dried, stored and labeled. For a reference on seed saving techniques, refer to “A Step-by-Step Guide to Saving Seeds.”
Refreshments: Tea will be provided. If possible, please bring your own mug!
Suggested attire: This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly.
Ways to support Farm to School: Invite your friends and family! There will be an opportunity to donate directly to our North Olympic Farm to School Fund. Funds raised at this event will support the purchase of supplies for Clallam County school gardens.
We hope to see you there! Let us know if you’re joining by registering here: School Garden Seed Swap RSVP
