To identify your foam: look for the #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol. Bend the material - it should break and snap with loose beads. Must be free of tape and labels and clean and dry. Wash your styrofoam food containers when you do dishes. (dishwasher safe - no dry cycle) Foil backing on some styrofoam can be peeled off. Block packaging styrofoam is frequently used to cushion electronics or other breakables in shipping boxes. Polyethylene foam has a grid or weave pattern. Block sheet styrofoam are solid squares or rectanges of styrofoam.
