Canning Tomatoes and Salsa – “You Can” Food Preservation Webinar

The many varieties of tomatoes can make preserving tomatoes and salsas challenging. Learn how you can safely preserve salsas and tomato products, allowable substitutions, why you have to add acidify your tomatoes with lemon juice, why you can’t add more garlic, onions and other ingredients to your salsas and much more including storage and how to tell if your home canned goods are safe. You will also learn why older recipes may not be safe.

This is the fifth in a series of 8 classes, take just the ones that interest you or take the entire series.  Classes for this series are being held online via Zoom Webinar and are FREE but you MUST pre-register on Brown Paper Tickets.  We do suggest a mail-in donation via check to the MFP Program.

Participants will receive a Zoom link via email the day before the class and there will be an extensive Q&A session at the end of the class.
