Free Styrofoam Recycling Collection

FreeDo you have Styrofoam occupying your home? Filling up garages, corners, and closets? Well on Saturday, January 13th, you can bring your (clean!) Styrofoam to the Northwest Stream Center in McCollum Park! The WSU Sustainable Community Stewards will be waiting in the parking lot near the Center to collect your Styrofoam, which will then be trucked down to StyroRecycle in Kent to be recycled.
Collection will take place from 10AM to 2PM. You can bring:
- rinsed and cleaned to-go containers and food trays
- bagged packing peanuts
- block packaging, coolers, and Styrofoam EPE sheets with tape removed
- Pink, blue, or gray XPS foam insulation.
UNACCEPTED ITEMS:
- Spray-in foam
- Insta-Pak foam
- Grey insta-pak foam
- Foil-lined foam
- Hot tub covers
