Evergreen Junior Dairy Show

Purpose

The purpose of the Evergreen Junior Dairy Show is to promote and educate the public about the dairy industry. It also serves as a spring show for all 4-H and FFA members.

The show is open to all 4-H and FFA youth who wish to participate in several fun activities including demonstrations, a poster contest, and showmanship and type contests.

Schedule of Events (UPDATED FOR 2024)

Friday, April 26
4:00 pm Stall and Tack Setup (no animals may enter until after vet check)
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Vet Check (This is the only time available for mandatory vet inspection)
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm Dairy Demonstrations
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Dinner for exhibitors is provided at the Purple Cow.
8:00 pm Displays and Posters must be in place and labeled
10:00 pm Barn Closed. No one is allowed in the barn after 10:00 pm.
Saturday, April 27
5:00 am Barn Opens
7:00 am – 8:00 am Breakfast for exhibitors is provided at the Purple Cow.
9:45 am Opening Ceremony
10:00 am Fitting and Showmanship Classes
Lunch Break Lunch on your own. The Purple Cow will be open to purchase food.
1:00 pm Type Classes
