The Washington State 4-H Fair is a collaborative community event, showcasing and promoting the achievements and talents of youth as they work toward building their successful futures. We accomplish this by:
- Providing educational experiences relating to projects, activities, personal skills and accomplishments;
- Providing recognition and inspiration to 4-H members and leaders toward greater achievement;
- Providing an opportunity and challenge to broaden relationships with others youth and adults and with other 4-H programs;
- Provide a dynamic and comprehensive review of 4-H and its accomplishments to the people of the State of Washington.
- Educating and engaging the community.
- Developing leadership skills.

Greetings 4-H Families and Staff,
Can you believe that we are 8 weeks away from the opening day of the State Fair? As of July 1st, Fair Entry for Washington’s State 4-H Fair has been open for 4-H members who have qualified at their county fairs to participate at the State Fair. You can find the 4-H State Fair registration link at: https://Washington-state-4H.fairentry.com.
A family entry guide can be found on the WSU website at: https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/2050/2024/04/FairEntry-Family-Entries-Guide.pdf
I am working on getting all 4-H Online managers access to Fair Entry to approve their county’s entries. I will be holding a training in the next couple of weeks on how to approve county entries in Fair Entry.
Congratulations to the winner of our Patch Design this year: Elly of Vancouver.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the State Fair!

Originally published April 02, 2024Greetings 4-H Families and Faculty! I am finishing up building the Washington State 4-H Fair in Fair Entry and I understand that there are a lot of questions. I’m hoping to be able to answer a few questions here.
Once all the classes are built in the Fair Entry, county fairs that also use Fair Entry will have the opportunity to integrate the classes. I recommended that counties that wish to integrate do so after they have finalized their county fair this year. Integrating this spring will interfere with their classes and premium points already uploaded into Fair Entry. Once a county integrates with the State 4-H Fair, they will be able to click a button to promote to the State Fair.
Counties that do not use Fair Entry for their county fairs will not be required to install or use the program. The members from those counties will enter their classes that they have qualified to show in through Fair Entry. I will be interfacing 4-H Online with Fair Entry so families can use their 4-H Online login and password to enter Fair Entry. This will also bring over all the family’s address, email and phone number, youth members, animals, and projects. All I will need from the county extension office is a round-up form telling me who qualified to represent their county at the State Fair. These will be very similar to the round- up forms that were used in the past.
All 4-H members who qualify to participate in the State 4-H Fair will be requHiorwedy,tkorisetin.arxotelll in 4-H Online. Please make sure that you have added all projects that you wish to participate in. If you wish to enter a baked good, make sure that Baking is added to your 4-H enrollment. I will be adding as many projects as I can to all the classes in Fair Entry. We will show you how this works in the next zoom.
As we get closer to the State Fair, I will be posting guidance on how to enter classes in Fair Entry and hold Zoom meetings for all the 4-H volunteers, members, and staff members.
Please feel free to reach out if you have other questions.

Washington State 4-H Fair is Moving to Fair Entry
Originally published March 19, 2024Hello 4-H Families,
I am excited to announce that the Washington State 4-H Fair will be using FairEntry for all our registration and entry forms this year. This program can be used on any mobile device, laptop, and iPad. You will be able to login to FairEntry using your 4-H Online login and password. This will bring over your address, email, phone, and projects that you have entered in 4-H Online.
All the classes will be listed in FairEntry for you to sign up for. An important item to note is to make sure that you are signed up in 4-H Online for the projects that you wish to display/show at the State Fair. If you are not signed up in 4-H Online for that project, FairEntry will not allow you to sign up to show/display the project. As a family, you will be able to enter all projects at one time and not fill out a stack of Entry Forms. County Extension offices will only need to fill out the Round UP form so I know who will be advancing to the State 4-H Fair.
If you wish to enter a virtual project, you will be able to upload the link or pictures to the entry form.
Iʼm so excited to use this program to help with entries and running the State Fair. Stay tuned for more information.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
