Strengthening Families Program – Virtual Series

Parent/Caregiver Sessions – Mondays, 6:30pm-7:45pm
Youth Sessions – Tuesdays, 5:30pm-6:45pm
Family Sessions – Tuesdays, 6:45pm-8:00pm

Strengthening Families is a fun, interactive and impactful 7-week program for parents and their youth ages 10-14. We offer guided activities and lessons to help parents and their youth transition into their teen years.

Youth Workshop Topics:
Week 1: Goals and Dreams Week 2: Appreciating Parents Week 3: Dealing with Stress Week 4: Following Rules Week 5: Dealing with Peer Pressure Week 6: Peer Pressure and Good Friends Week 7: Reaching Out to Others

Adult Workshop Topics:
Week 1: Practicing Love and Limits
Week 2: Making House Rules
Week 3: Encouraging Good Behavior
Week 4: Using Consequences
Week 5: Building Bridges
Week 6:: Protecting Against Substance Abuse

Family activities include: supporting goals and dreams, appreciating family members, understanding family values, using family meetings, building family communication and reaching family goals.
