Digging Deeper 2024 – Mushroom Growing with Shitake and Oyster Plugs

“Mushroom Growing with Shitake and Oyster Plugs”
will be held in person on:
Saturday October 19th from 10:30 a.m. to Noon
at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, in Sequim.
$20 – PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED by Oct. 10th
Enrollment limited to 20 participants.
The Woodcock mushroom garden has successfully grown Shiitake, Oyster, and Wine Cap mushrooms, and last year started Lion’s Mane, Turkey Tail, and Pioppino as plugs in stumps. Now you can grow this healthy and nutritious food at home.
The workshop will plug logs with shiitake and oyster mushroom plugs; you will make and take home two logs, for Shiitake and Oyster. Logs and mushroom plugs provided.
Please bring a drill and 5/16″ bit, and hammer or mallet to pound them in.
