Jefferson County 4-H Cat Show

Cage Decoration Theme: “My Favorite Book”

Show location:  4-H Building, Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Port Townsend, WA

Show Host:  Paws-N-Claws 4-H Club of Jefferson County

Time:  Door unlocked at 8am.  Check-in 8:30am – 9:30am.  Show starts at 10am.

Fees:  $10 for 1^st cat.  $5 for 2^nd cat.  Fees include all classes.

   SHOW  RULES:

1. Vaccination Certificates will be required at check-in.  Current Rabies shot by licensed vet is required. FVRCP & Feline Leukemia vaccinations are strongly recommended.  The signature of the licensed vet must be on the vet papers.  Use of the WA State 4-H Rabies Certificate is required.
2. Kittens must be at least 4 months old, but not have yet reached the first day of their 8th month.  Senior cats are 10 years or older.  Birth dates (month/day/year) are required.
3. All cats must have a harness, leash and carrier, and these must be used at all times.
4. All cats must arrive at the show clean, groomed, healthy, free of parasites and have clipped claws.  Grooming touch-ups may be done before judging.
5. Entrants are responsible for good behavior at all times, and for the cleanliness of their area during and after the show.  NO running in the building.
6. Show entrants are expected to stay and help put the show away.  We must leave the building better than we found it.  Notify show organizer of any building problems during the show.
7. Danish judging system will be used.
8. Entrants will provide their cat(s) with food, water and litter in containers appropriate both in size and construction.
9. Each 4Her will be provided with ONE benching cage, 21x21x45.  Cages must be covered on top, sides and back by entrant.  Please indicate on the entry form if you will be bringing your own benching cage(s). 
10. Entrant is responsible for making sure that their entry form is complete and that they and their cat(s) are entered in the correct classes.  Entry fees must accompany the entry form.
11. Neither the Jeff. Co. Fairgrounds, Fair Association, nor Paws-N-Claws 4-H Club will be held responsible for any damages or accidents to cats, 4-H members and their families, or their property.  We are all responsible to help make this a safe, educational and fun show for everyone.

FOOD:  $5 baked potato lunch.  Will include potato, toppings, a soda or water and dessert.  Order your baked potato lunch on the Entry Form.  Bring your own snacks & beverages, or your own lunch (if you do not want the baked potato lunch).  Please know that there is no place close to our fairgrounds for quick or easy food.

A fundraiser RAFFLE (50 cents per ticket & drawn after lunch during Cage Decoration Judging) will take place at this show.

HELP!!  Sign up to Ring Steward when you check in. 

Knowledge and Breed ID classes will be offered.

Please be aware of others using the fairgrounds while we are there.  Watch for moving vehicles.  Be conscientious about your noise when you are outside.  It is strongly recommended that all cats remain in the 4-H Bldg at all times.
