Pack your lunch, put on your sun hat and come take an educational and relaxing walk with a Master Gardener at the:
Woodcock Demonstration Gardens, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim
for our July Woodcock Walkabout on:
Thursday, July 11th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Meet in the covered pavilion where you will be given a walking tour guide and our 2024 event schedule.
A Master Gardener will meet you at that location and begin the tour.
The Walk will focus on perennial and seasonal flowers and shrubs that are in bloom at this time and the visitors’ interests. The shade garden is a cool spot to stroll. The mason bee pollinators are busy in the orchards and the herbs in our culinary and medicinal beds are ready for the kitchen table. The fragrance of herbs and flowers fill the air. Our wide selection of berry bushes are in flower. The mushroom garden has fruiting bodies ready for production. Columbines, roses, calendulas and fruit trees are all now in bloom waiting for our busy pollinators.
After the tour, you will be free to stroll around the gardens and speak with the Master Gardeners who are working to keep this place beautiful for the community’s enjoyment or relax with your picnic lunch at our picnic tables.
The Woodcock Demonstration Garden is a beautiful 2.74-acre site that has been in operation for over 37 yrs and is open to the public year round for educational purposes.
