Woodcock Walkabout – August 2024
Woodcock's roadside rose bushes invite visitors to stop on by. Come join WSU Clallam County Master Gardeners for a guided tour of the Woodcock Demonstration Garden. Located at 2711 Woodcock Road, Sequim, WA 98382 Thursday, August 1st, 2024 at 10:00 am. They will highlight the various features of the garden and share the seasonal highlights. Audience participation is encouraged and time for answering questions is provided.

The Peninsula Food Coalition is an informal group of local and statewide Food Access and Hunger relief organizations with the mission of recovering and distributing nutritious food to people in need across the North Olympic Peninsula. Digging Deeper 2024 – Making the Most of Your Floral Garden
The 2024 Digging Deeper Saturdays presentation: “Making the Most of Your Floral Garden: Preparing and Designing Extraordinary Bouquets” will be held in person on: Saturday August 3rd from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, in Sequim. Our Farm Gleaning program distributes thousands of pounds of unharvested produce from local farms to food banks and other food access organizations in the region. Glean volunteers get a cut of the harvest, too! Food Access Coordinator Benji Astrachan leads weekly farm gleans. Exact day and time varies each week. 2nd Saturday Garden Walk at 5th Street – August 10th, 2024
Starting April 13, 2024, and every second Saturday through September, Veteran Clallam County Master Gardeners will lead a fast-paced walk through the Port Angeles Fifth Street Community Garden to examine what is happening (or should be happening) in local vegetable gardens.
