2nd Saturday Garden Walk at 5th Street – May 11th, 2024
Starting April 13, 2024, and every second Saturday through September, Veteran Clallam County Master Gardeners will lead a fast-paced walk through the Port Angeles Fifth Street Community Garden to examine what is happening (or should be happening) in local vegetable gardens. Our Farm Gleaning program distributes thousands of pounds of unharvested produce from local farms to food banks and other food access organizations in the region. Glean volunteers get a cut of the harvest, too! Food Access Coordinator Benji Astrachan leads weekly farm gleans. Exact day and time varies each week. Digging Deeper 2024 – Growing Tomatoes Well Here
The 2024 Digging Deeper Saturdays presentation "Growing Tomatoes Well Here” will be held in person on Saturday May 18th from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, in Sequim. The Digging Deeper Saturday Series, sponsored by the Washington State University Clallam County Master Gardeners, is held on the select Saturdays of most months.
