Lavender has been cultivated for its scent, beauty, taste and medicinal properties for over 2,500 years. And with over 47 varieties to choose from, growing lavender can be an aromatic and rewarding pastime. Join Victor Gonzalez, lavender grower and owner of Victor’s Lavender Farm in Sequim for a Clallam County Master Gardeners Green Thumb Gardening Tips Zoom presentation “All About Lavender” Thursday, September 22nd from noon – 1:00 p.m.
Victor will provide best practices for lavender planting, spacing and variety selection, and share tips for the right way and best time for trimming. He will also address your lavender questions and provide answers for problems growing lavender in your garden.
As a lavender farmer since 1997, Victor has successfully propagated millions of lavender plants during the last two decades. A major wholesale grower and supplier, Victor often shares his knowledge and advice to farmers in Peru and North Africa, Latin America, Mexico and Canada, as well as throughout the United States. A stop at the farm offers fun and educational insight along with his retail products.
