Where Does Your FoodPlus! Go?

(Click on the image above to play video)

In Whatcom County, organic food and yard waste can stay local through curbside services offered by SSC (FoodPlus!) or Nooksack Valley Disposal. Organic waste from homes, schools, and businesses is collected and turned into a finished product that can be purchased for your garden! Follow its journey in this short video produced by WSU Whatcom County Extension.

WSU Whatcom County Extension encourages responsible and sustainable waste management of organics through waste reduction, on-site composting, and/or composting curbside services. Find out if you can sign up for the following curbside services offered in Whatcom County:

FoodPlus! Sanitary Service Company: Bellingham, Ferndale, Birch Bay, Blaine, parts of unincorporated Whatcom County

Nooksack Valley Disposal: Lynden, Everson, Nooksack, Sumas
