Recertification for returning Master Gardeners
Recertification in the Master Gardener program does not automatically carry forward from year to year. Volunteers must submit a recertification to the program each year.
ONLY volunteers who have submitted the recertification and who have met the requirements (or request emeritus status) will be granted certification (or emeritus status) for the following year.
Minimum requirements:
• 25 hours of approved service
• 10 hours of approved continuing education
• Monthly documentation of volunteer hours (in GivePulse)
• Background checks every 3 years
• Adherence to the code of conduct
• Commitment to uphold the WSU Extension Master Gardener mission and values
