Plant Science & Edible Education

Teaching school age students where their food comes from through science based lessons. Topics and lessons on soil, seeds, plant parts & food consumption.

WSU Extension partners with Northwest Youth Services – Urban Garden site WE GROW

Northwest Youth Services “We Grow” is a seed-to-market education and employment preparedness program that provides opportunities to get hands on experience working as part of a team in planting, growing, and harvesting food to bring to our local youth run market stand. Youth participants work with staff and community volunteers to gain experience in all aspects horticulture.

WSU Extension provides seasonal management, education and support at the We Grow garden.
